Landis Gardner, A Unova Companyes centerless grinders are built on an epoxy granite base, selected for its vibration dampening and thermal characteristics. The centerless slides combine anti-friction ways, brushless AC servometers, and precision ballscrews and digital feedback. The result provides the user with 0.1 micron resolution. The standard RK truing units have a highly damped design and provide anti-friction servomotor-driven traverse and cam-type profiling. It also has FILMATIC grinding wheel spindle bearings with hydrostatic lift that provide consistent self-centering support under varying grinding loads.
